What it is
Strike, lock out, locate the ball, then disengage to the gap the ball is entering.
Why it matters
The sequence is strike, extend, read, shed - shedding before locating the ball leaves the defender guessing. Hand placement inside the blocker's frame is what makes the lockout possible.
