Pass sets (vertical, kick, jump)

OffenseTechniqueOLTG

What it is

The footwork families used to establish depth and angle against a rusher.

Why it matters

A vertical set gains depth against speed, a kick set matches the rusher's arc, a jump or quick set meets him early to deny a runway. Set choice is dictated by the rusher and by the depth of the drop.

Also called

Programs call this vertical set, kick slide or jump set. The Coach answers to any of them.

Watch it run

This one is in the simulator. The read is measured off the simulation as it plays — nothing about the outcome is scripted.
