Screen
OffenseSituationOLQBRBWR
What it is
Allow pressure, then throw behind it to a receiver with blockers in front.
Why it matters
Families include slow screen to a back, fast or tunnel screen to a receiver, and bubble to the perimeter. The shared principle is inviting the rush and using its momentum against the defence; the shared failure is releasing linemen too early and drawing an ineligible-downfield penalty.
Also called
Programs call this slow screen, tunnel or bubble. The Coach answers to any of them.
