Attack the QB's outside shoulder on the mesh

What it is
Crash hard at the mesh point aiming at the quarterback's outside shoulder to force an immediate give or a bad pull.
Why it matters
Aggressive answer to option. Forces the quarterback to decide early and under duress. Vulnerable to a quick give inside and to any play that uses the defender's momentum against him, so it is normally paired with a scrape exchange behind it.
Also called
Programs call this crash the mesh or attack the pull key. The Coach answers to any of them.
